Construction management for a fast-tracked children’s playground on the Detroit Riverfront, completed in about three weeks late in the construction season. Work included contaminated soil remediation, earthwork, underground utilities, foundations, concrete slab-on-grade, ornamental fencing, irrigation, landscaping, and installation of a poured-in-place colored rubber play surface and equipment. Tooles coordinated closely with the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, public agencies and volunteer groups to deliver the project before winter.
